Yoma Micro Power and Yoma Land join M2030

August 24th, 2020 – Yoma Strategic Holdings, a Pioneering Partner of M2030, will add two more businesses within its group to the M2030 partnership, Yoma Micro Power and Yoma Land. Yoma Micro Power and Yoma Land will join Yoma’s existing M2030 partners, including Pun Hlaing Siloam Hospitals; Wave Money; Yoma’s vehicle and equipment brands VW, New Holland, and JCB; and Yoma’s food and beverage businesses including KFC, Auntie Anne’s, YKKO, and Little Sheep Hotpot.

The M2030 team and Yoma are now working to develop new M2030 campaigns for both Yoma Micro Power and Yoma Land, and look forward to announcing more details soon.

Yoma Micro Power builds, owns, operates, and maintains solar micro-power plants, with telecommunications towers operators as the “anchor tenant”, and mini-grids for the surrounding communities in off-grid areas. Yoma Micro Power has constructed 10 pilot sites in Sagaing, Myanmar which have been supplying clean and reliable power to telecom customers since September 2017. By 2023, Yoma Micro Power aims to scale up to more than two thousand micro power plants across Myanmar.

Yoma Land is transforming Yangon’s cityscape across several strategically located flagship developments, including StarCity, City Loft, Yoma Central, and Pun Hlaing Estate. Yoma Land has one of Myanmar’s largest landbanks, focusing on township projects and the mission of Building Better Communities for the Future of Myanmar. Yoma Land aims to build communities that are attractive, safe and vibrant, while placing emphasis on innovative designs, building standards and product range. ​
