New Holland tractors are helping Myanmar farmers fight malaria through an innovative new partnership with M2030. The campaign launched last month in 14 New Holland showrooms in 10 cities across the country.
Each New Holland showroom is raising awareness about malaria by displaying M2030 posters and brochures. They are also raising funds through M2030 donation boxes and a unique pledge scheme.
Dealerships have pledged to donate funds to malaria programs for every New Holland tractor sold. When a customer purchases a tractor, the dealership provides them with an information packet on malaria elimination as well as a short training session on malaria prevention. Customers take this knowledge back to share with their local communities. Tractors sold through this campaign also display special M2030 decals to help increase awareness of malaria wherever the tractors go.
All funds raised through this campaign support malaria elimination programs implemented by Population Services International Myanmar, one of the leading non-profit organizations fighting malaria in the country.
New Holland is the leading agriculture equipment brand in Myanmar, and Yoma Strategic Holdings Limited is the exclusive distributor for New Holland tractors in the country. Yoma is also running a similar M2030 campaign at its three JC Bamford dealerships in Myanmar, which specialize in JCB excavators and construction equipment. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Yoma and New Holland to help eliminate malaria in Myanmar and across Asia by 2030.
